Applies to the app With My Own Hands: Grow Veg
(package com.withmyownhands.app) and to withmyownhands.com,
both published by DavidLoman1688.
You can ask us to delete your account and everything stored with it. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.
Step 1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Delete my account”.
Step 2. Send it from the email address you used to sign up, so we can confirm the account is yours. That is the only verification we need — we will never ask you for your password.
Step 3. We delete the account and confirm by reply, normally within a few days and always within 30 days of your request.
If you only want to stop syncing, you can sign out in the app instead — that leaves your data on our servers until you ask us to delete it.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Email address and login credentials | Deleted permanently |
| Your growing setup, projects, grow log entries, reminders and milestones | Deleted permanently |
| Plant-doctor questions and any photos you uploaded | Deleted permanently |
| Harvest Swap listings and messages you posted | Deleted permanently |
| Data | Kept | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Encrypted backups that already contain your data | Up to 30 days, then overwritten automatically | Routine backup rotation — we cannot edit a backup snapshot |
| Server logs (IP address, timestamps) | Up to 30 days | Security and abuse prevention |
| Anonymised, aggregated counts (e.g. “how many people grew tomatoes”) | Kept indefinitely | Cannot be linked back to you — no identifier is retained |
The app also keeps a copy of your grow log on the device itself so it works offline. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android Settings → Apps → With My Own Hands → Storage, removes that copy.
The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID. That ID belongs to your device, not to your account, so deleting your account does not reset it. You can reset or delete it yourself in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
