How to pick it so it keeps feeding you
Pick often and slightly early. Every fruit you leave on signals the plant to stop setting new ones, so a plant you harvest twice a week out-produces the same plant picked every ten days — by a lot. Use scissors rather than pulling; tearing the stem opens a wound that rot walks straight into. First picking lands around day 80 from sowing; after that it's a rhythm, not a single event.
